COVID-19: LifeCare Responds

What is LifeCare?

In addition to high quality hospice and palliative care, Lower Cape Fear LifeCare provides our community with a spectrum of health services, including: counseling, community education, and even advance care planning. We’re your partner as you navigate complex healthcare situations, and in continuing our mission, we are sharing additional resources to support our community, as we face COVID-19. Counseling & Caregiving

We’re all trying to cope with the COVID-19 situation. Our counselors and clinicians can help. Check out their videos to help you and your loved ones, including children, manage stress and anxiety. Click here to see available videos.

Information

We’ve included some of our blog articles that you may find useful while trying to navigate care related to a serious or life limiting-illness while still trying to remain safe during COVID-19. As information becomes available, we’ve also added some updates from the CDC on the virus. Click here to see available articles.

Begin the Conversation – Advance Care Planning

The emergence of COVID-19 has brought attention to the importance of advance care planning. While we have currently suspended in-person clinics at our facilities, we are offering an online version. Learn what constitutes an advance care plan, get the documents you need, and request a free copy of our workbook. Click here to go to our online Begin the Conversation online workshop.

If you are finding these resources helpful or you want to support our team as they step up to meet the challenges of COVID-19, please consider supporting our LifeCare heroes. Your support will ensure our clinicians can continue to provide patients and families in our community tye care and support they need when facing serious or life-limiting illness during this public health crisis.

Don’t let fear of COVID-19 keep you or your loved one from getting the care and support needed while living with a serious or life-limiting illness.
Having regular hospice or palliative care visits during this time can help relieve pain and manage symptoms, and can also reduce the chances of hospitalization and Emergency Room visits. Stay Safe. Stay at home. We can help.
